Cooler temperature = time to knit

Cooler...well, 25C is cooler. I've been going thru all my patterns, bookmarks and web sites to find the next project. I NEEDED to start on a scarf and on a new pair of socks. The idea is to use up as much of my stash as I can to make space for new purchases....

Another day in Paradise

In fact, I have another 10 days of rest so I can knit, surf, read, anything but stand up too long. Isn't it great? This is why I had time to work on my Amanda As this project is going quite fast, I am planning more, of course and while looking in my knitting...

WHY, OH WHY?

I am not a good knitter. I know it. Knitting doesn't come naturally for me and I am really slow at it even though I learned 30 years ago and knitted on and off since then. Slow means that it took me 9 months to finally complete the Lacy Prairie Shawl...

Moving or not moving?

More and more , Canalblog give me error messages, server unavailability or various other messages which makes it time consuming and frustrating to write my posts. Earlier this morning I wrote a post and when I clicked to post it, I just lost everything....

Emotions

Can’t write a post this week without talking about it. Only a month ago, my baby was leaving the nest, heading for the big town where she would stay for 9 months and live by herself. Quite a source of worry for a mother already, when someone on a forum...

A so-so week

I'll go quickly over the 400 miles drive in a day to go to funerals; quickly too over the overload of work and no time to play; even more quickly over the S***...you know, that white stuff falling from the sky!!! Let's say it's over and I hope the next...

Lots of rain, very little stitches

We've had it; the perfect November... rain, rain and rain again with some cold and wind. It's okay, I still prefer rain over snow and ice. Not much knitting for me. I was too buzy with the class preparation to think of anything else. Even the torch didn't...

Out of breath

I didn't post last week-end... I can barely keep up with everything. Too many different classes scheduled and I made myself available every thuesday afternoon in between so I ended up overbooked and overwhelmed. Good thing is that I learned a lesson....

No snow yet!

Have I been so buzy that I didn't post for almost 3 weeks? Looking back, I don't have much to report for such a long time. We are still waiting for some snow so it will look like Christmas is coming. Outside lights look so sad without that white stuff....

Buzy week but I knitted

Once I subscribed to a KAL... it was Candle Flame. I was rapidly overwhelmed by the speed of some and left far behind so I just forgot about it and ended up by ripping it all to use the yarn for something else. This time, we are only two in that KAL......

I did it!

And, I didn't fall once! Boy, I didn't remember ice was that slippery. It wasn't that bad, my legs were shaky, I was scared but I could hold on for 15 minutes the first time, about 10 laps. Then, the next day I did 45 minutes. Of course, I had to rest...

Frozen...inside the house!

Tuesday morning I got my skeins from Ami-Ami . My order was sent by fax on Sunday!! Talk about speed! Okay, they aren't far from here but hey, another seller from whom I bought lately isn't farther and the order took over a week to get here. All the yarns...

4C degrees

It gave me a shock. It's the first time this season that it's so cold. I am not ready for this yet. Well, in a way, that means hibernating: staying home more often, cuddling under a quilt to watch tv, cooking wonderful soups and stews... not such a bad...
